This body of work highlights innate connections between people and nature using black and white images. My interpretation of the theme "connections" reflects how people are instinctually tied to Nature's rhythms.
Several images from this body of work were included in the show "Connections" at the Maine Media Gallery. Click here to read more: http://http://www.mainemedia.edu/events/archives/2011?page=2
Silver gelatin prints from this series were printed in the traditional wet darkroom by the artist and are "uncut".
This intimate series is printed approximately 5" x 7".
My journeys take me to American main streets where I enjoy discovering icons from different periods in history. In this Reflections from Main Street USA portfolio, I portray Americana from the mid-twentieth century in the context of everyday contemporary life, something that is reminiscent of my childhood.
I often use unusual framing techniques and multiple planes of perspective in the work. I use minimal post-production, preferring to capture the moment while photographing.
